Why eCornell is Different

Ivy League Curricula & Top-Ranked Faculty
eCornell‘s unique approach to elearning combines the most effective elements of an Ivy League classroom with the flexibility of an online learning environment. eCornell courses are all authored directly by Cornell University faculty. All eCornell course content comes from top-rated programs with proven curricula.

Self-Paced But Instructor-Facilitated
eCornell courses—while self-paced and 100% online—are "instructor-facilitated" to help guide the learner and keep the focus on practical, on-the-job, real-world applications to challenge the learner.

Start & End Dates Drive Completion
eCornell courses have defined start dates and end dates. A critical part of self-directed learning is to have a finish line. eCornell courses take 4 to 6 hours to complete over a 2 week period (again at your own pace, but they have a deadline to be completed by). The resulting 90+% completion rate leads the industry.

Interaction & Collaboration
eCornell Courses are "cohort-centric." Learners are in the course with a group of of 20 to 30 participants from companies and industries around the world. (Or you can run private cohorts of just your employees). Courses have a discussion board with required discussions which requires the learners to share experiences, best practices, discuss on-the-job application attempts while immersed in the learning and fosters collaboration, interaction and networking amongst the cohort.

The ability to leverage and interact with an expert instructors, ask questions, get answers and dialogue with others about their experiences really make a huge difference in the learning experience, outcomes and application.

Our approach positions students as active participants in the learning process, allowing them to build the necessary problem-solving skills at their own pace and in a manner that conforms to their individual learning style to confront challenges they face on the job and in life.

Credentials & Carrots
Completing a series of eCornell courses will earn one of 20+ Certificates from Cornell University—an attractive carrot to all levels of participant from individual contributor to senior executive. You can also assemble your own Certificate Programs that can be co-branded with your company.

Individual eCornell courses also earn credentials. Each course earns a Letter of Completion and Continuing Education Units. And many of our online courses qualify for credits with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
