eCornell Named a Finalist for 'Sales Training Program of the Year' in 2011 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service
Company's internal sales training program up for The Stevie Award as top sales training & coaching program.
ITHACA, NEW YORK, January 13, 2010 -- eCornell was named a finalist today in the âSales Training/Coaching Program of the Yearâ category in the fifth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
eCornellâs finalist nomination is based on the results of a comprehensive 12-week program designed to onboard new sales team members. The training program has been responsible for helping new sales employees achieve their goals faster (41%) and maintain their numbers more consistently over time. The team also grew revenues 86% year-over-year following the launch of the program.
Nicknamed the Steviesfor the Greek word âcrowned,â winners will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 21 at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Nominated customer service and sales executives from the United States and several other countries are expected to attend.
 âBeing named a Finalist in the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service is an important achievement,â said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. âIt means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of international recognition.
More than 800 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this yearâs competition, an increase of more than 60% over 2010. There are 25 categories for customer service professionals and 40 categories for sales professionals, including from Global Sales Leader of the Year, Sales Training Program of the Year and Sales Department of the Year.
Members of the Awardsâ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors will select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place January 24 - February 4. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
