  • I was somewhat hesitant at first as this was my first online experience. But now as I'm within a week of finishing, I can confidently say that joining this program was one of the most strategic steps in my life. I started benefiting from the content the very first week. Online assessments, animated scenarios, expert interviews, and thoughtful discussions with fellow students from around the world and distinguished instructors have really provided that great mix needed to achieve a high-quality distance learning experience.

  • "The course triggered very useful self-reflection. It proved immensely useful not just in highlighting what can go wrong, but in providing the tools to do it right. I wish I could have taken this course five years ago."

    Introduction to Project Leadership
  • The eCornell Project Leadership program was excellent! Whether you are an entry-level project manager, someone who isn't normally in that role but looking to develop the skill set, or a seasoned professional, there is something in this program for everyone. The series touches on core skills of conflict resolution, motivation and influence, but also addresses many topics that even most experienced PMs overlook. I found the topic of Dealing with Difference, particularly cultural and personality differences, very insightful. I would recommend this to anyone looking to develop practical leadership skills.

  • Of all of the educational experiences I have completed, this is by far the most useful, informative and innovative program I have ever done. Within 3 months, I have learned the proper management and leadership tools in order to lead a project team. The knowledge taught is challenging, yet presented in multiple ways for easy retention. I would highly recommend this program to any of my colleagues and friends!

  • "I have just completed the Project Leadership certificate - I've greatly enjoyed doing this and feel better prepared for my job.

I will shortly start a new project - the opening of a 650 room Crowne Plaza hotel in Taiwan. After a discussion with the Regional General Manager and based on my feedback on the course, the hotel management team will be given the target to complete a minimum of 2 eCornell courses, including Dealing with Difference and Conflict Resolution."

  • "Very interesting course.  I always focus on the functional requirements of tasks and the assignment of people to those tasks.  This course will help me look at cultural and learning style differences as well."

  • The Project Leadership program has helped enhance my skills and ability to manage my team better. The international group of students in my classes have really increased my understanding of the socio-cultural differences and I am now better able to handle situations. The instructors are proficient in the subject matter, steer discussion in the correct direction, and have mentored students to expectations.

  • Working for an organization that deals with child rights, I am often in contact with young people coming from various multinational, yet deprived areas of the country and who often get in conflict with their peers of different nationalities or religious or cultural backgrounds. The eCornell course "Dealing with Difference" gave me the necessary skills and knowledge to work with youth-led organizations that gather young people with various backgrounds, and I use all I that learned to assist those young people to overcome and benefit from the differences in their joint organizations, activities and in various circumstances. It gives me special pleasure to see them use their full potential to achieve their goals and make the most out of their advantages and particularly disadvantages.
Verica Matijacic - Programme Assistant - UNICEF from Belgrade, Serbia,

  • The experience of taking online courses at Cornell was better than any other online experience I've had. The interaction with the other students, as well as the instructor, is unlike any class I have ever taken. The courses still have tests to make sure you understand what you are learning, but that is all that is available with most other online courses. The level of coursework is excellent, and what you learn is very worthwhile. I would recommend this program even if you're not a project manager, but are in upper management or just want to get ahead professionally.
